Celebrate a century of music, tradition and community at the Kimberley Pipe Band’s 100th Anniversary Tattoo—presented by Edward Jones, Cranbrook.
On Saturday, July 24, 2027, Western Financial Place will come alive with the sound of the pipes and drums for a spectacular two-hour anniversary production. More than fifteen pipe and marching bands will join Highland dancers and special guests for an evening of music, tradition and pageantry.
The program will feature individual band performances, precision marching, choreographed massed-band displays and a grand finale bringing hundreds of musicians and performers together on the arena floor. Special highlights will include a performance by a demonstration by the Junior Biathlon Team of the Kimberley Nordic Club, and a multimedia tribute celebrating the Kimberley Pipe Band’s remarkable history from 1927 to 2027.
From the opening procession to the final massed-band performance, audiences can expect powerful music, colourful uniforms, Highland tradition and moving moments of remembrance—including favourites such as “Amazing Grace,” “Highland Cathedral” and “Scotland the Brave.”
